Serbia may conclude arrangement with IMF by February 6

Serbian Minister of Finance Mladjan Dinkic said today that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has scheduled a session of its Board of Directors for February 6, where it will discuss the conclusion of the three-year arrangement with Serbia.

In a statement to the Tanjug news agency, Dinkic said that the Serbian government has fulfilled all its obligations toward the IMF, and is now waiting for the session of the Board of Directors and good news from Washington.

He recalled that once the arrangement with the IMF is concluded, the government expects a write-off of Serbia’s $700 million debt to the Paris Club of Creditors.
