Dinkic lays corner stone for new Henkel plant in Indjija

Serbian Minister of Finance Mladjan Dinkic laid today a corner stone for Henkel’s new plant in Indjija and visited construction works at a road that connects that municipality with the Novi Sad – Belgrade highway.

Dinkic said that the new factory of Henkel company in Indjija’s industrial zone is just one in a series of new production plants that will be built in the upcoming period and that will reduce Indjija’s unemployment rate to a little over 10%, which is twice less than the republic average. He said that the building of the plant is a greenfield investment of an Austrian firm, while the construction of the road linking Indjija with Novi Sad – Belgrade highway is financed with €2 million from the National Investment Plan.

President of Indjija municipality Goran Jesic said that the Austrian investor will invest a total of €7 million in Henkel’s plant and employ over 100 new workers. He said that some €100 million will be invested in the entire industrial zone of Indjija and that between 700 and 1000 workers will be employed.

The Minister of Finance and Director of the Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) Jasna Matic talked today with foreign investors and leadership of the Indjija municipality.
