Capacity Building Fund Project to be continued
Mr. Bozidar Djelic, Minister of Finance and Economy, on behalf of the Serbian Government, and HE Mr. Francis O’Donnell, UNDP Resident Representative in Serbia and Montenegro, today signed a contract on Donation for Implementation of the Capacity Building Fund Project within the Ministry of Finance and Economy.
Signing of this contract actually signifies the continuation of the previous two-year project that ended in October 2003. The goal of the project is to develop a team of civil servants capable of strategically managing the work of the Ministry and strengthening the systems for further personnel development.
His Excellency Barend Van der Heijden, Ambassador of The Netherlands (donor country), expressed his satisfaction with the achieved results, in the sphere of legislative reforms, creation of new organizational units, personnel development, communication and information structure.
The Kingdom of the Netherlands has earmarked more than a million US$ for this project, planned to be carried out in the course of 2004 and 2005.
